Joan McConnell is Organist and Music Coordinator at Trinity, having joined the staff in 2002. In addition to providing organ music for the traditional worship service, she coordinates with others on the music staff to provide choral and bell music for the services. She also works with the Praise Band, singing with them and guiding the planning for the 8:30 contemporary services.
Working with the Worship and Music Committee, her recent project has been fundraising for a refurbishing of the Schantz pipe organ.
Joan teaches Music Theory and Organ at Heidelberg University. She is proud of her organ students, who have all made meaningful careers in music. In an effort to support the music ministries of churches in our community, she has taught a number of adult organ students, as well.
